North Valley News is a online resource for Christians. Each issue is full of news, notes, upcoming events, and helpful ministry instruction. My job was to redesign their website, give them a new identity, and help increase traffic by creating a better online experience for the readers of the site. I was also in charge of implementing WordPress as the back-end for the website.
The Occupational Ergonomics website was a project that I did for Shawnalea Shelly, an ergonomist in Oregon. She wanted a website that would appeal to her target audience. After a few meetings, we agreed on a simple design that would also be visually appealing to her clients. Shawnalea was thrilled with the result of her website.
While working at 4 Wheel Parts, I was tasked with the creation of the Team 4 Wheel Parts site. The website was to feature Greg Adler, the CEO Transamerican Autoparts. Under the direction of my creative director, Soh Tanaka, I designed and developed the entire website from scratch using WordPress.
I started Design Informer on October 2009. In just a few short months, the site grew rapidly. To date, the blog has over 7,000 RSS subscribers and over 7,000 followers on Twitter. The blog was eventually bought out by Smashing Magazine and I now work as the editor of the website.
